About us
A lifestyle whose foundations lie in being mindful of our actions and respecting the extraordinary planet that we are blessed with. This is the foundation of our brand, ZenKind. Our journey across India, Hongkong, and Japan has brought us closer to the concept of Buddhism. This lifestyle has made us more aware and mindful. That’s how the name ZEN came to be. It means to be mindful and thoughtful(a state of enlightenment) effortlessly.
We want to put our best efforts and work towards offering people the most fashionable, sustainable and biodegradable products that are affordable while offering the highest quality. Our aim is to build a community that is kind and respectful towards Earth and its resources. Every little step counts and together we can make the shift towards a more circular economy.

Why we’re saying no to leather
- The way leather is created is anything but glamorous.Every year, the leather industry slaughters billions of animals to produce the leather that use in our jackets, wallets, bags, etc.
- In 2018, the number of cows, calves, buffaloes, goats, and pigs killed for their hide and skin to make leather increased to more than 2.29 billion worldwide, according to the FAO Leather isn’t just bad for the environment, it is catastrophic.
- According to PETA, a chrome-tanning facility wastes nearly 15,000 gallons of water and produces up to 2,200 pounds of 'solid waste' (e.g., hair, flesh, and trimmings) for every ton of hides that it processes.
- When we wear leather, we are not only wearing animal skin but also wearing the remnants of cyanide, formaldehyde, and other dangerous chemicals that are often the cause of cancer for workers in a leather factory.
At ZenKind, our aim is to be mindful of the impact we have on the environment. We know that fast fashion has and continues to have a hazardous impact on our ecosystem. With ZenKind, we want to offer you a sustainable fashion choice that does not compromise on style. All our products are 100% biodegradable within 90 to 120 days in compost.
